Sartori Roberson, Honorable Mention PCAC Athlete of the Week

Women's Athletes of the Week

Honorable mention was awarded to basketball players Randi Johnson of Mt. San Jacinto, Satori Roberson (Grossmont) and Asal Pourheidari (San Diego Mesa).

Johnson, a 5-foot-10 sophomore guard from Elsinore High School, totaled 37 points and 31 rebounds in the Ventura Optimist tournament. She had 8 points and 11 rebounds vs. L.A. Valley, 13 points and 11 rebounds vs. Hancock, and 16 points and 9 rebounds against Antelope Valley.

Roberson, a 6-foot-2 freshman from La Jolla High School, scored 14 points and grabbed 8 rebounds as the Griffins opened play in the 29th Grossmont College Holiday Tournament by routing Victor Valley 70-51. She had 16 points and 5 rebounds in the championship semifinals in an 85-73 loss to Santa Ana. The Griffins lost 91-57 to Cypress on the third day of the tourney to finish fourth.

Pourheidari, a freshman from Shahid Mahdavi Educational Complex in Tahran, Iran, scored 20 points and hauled down 7 rebounds but Mesa dropped a 59-43 decision to Cerritos in an elimination game at the 38th Colleen Riley Holiday Invitational at Fullerton College.
