Grossmont College Griffins Men’s Water Polo on the Hunt for 30th Conference Championship
The Grossmont College Griffins Men's Water Polo team is charging into the postseason with their sights set on a milestone 30th conference championship. The Griffins wrapped up an impressive regular season with a 15-12 overall record and a strong 4-1 mark in Pacific Coast Athletic Conference (PCAC) play, earning them the No. 2 seed heading into tonight's conference semifinals.
This year's Griffin squad has been powered by a dynamic offensive duo. Sophomore standout Ryland Humphrey, a 2022 All-Conference selection, leads the team with 86 goals, showcasing his scoring prowess and leadership in the pool. Right behind him is Xylen Rotsart, the 2024 All-American and PCAC Co-Player of the Year, who has tallied 73 goals while providing crucial play on both ends of the pool.
