Grossmont beats Southwestern 108 – 101 in overtime

The Griffins jumped out to an early 12-4 lead. Extended it to 31-16 by the 12:00 minute mark. At the half they led 53-45. Grossmont's second highest point total in a half this season. The Griffins never trailed in the game and the scored was only tied at 0-0 and 94-94. In overtime the Griffins played excellent defense holding the Jaguars to only 7 points while scoring layups, threes and free throws for 14 points. Again multiple players scored and rebounded Zeid Salem's best night of the year 25 points on 9-13 shooting while grabbing 5 rebounds, Sam Mews made 4 threes on the way to scoring 13 points, Anthony Reavis grabbed 6 rebounds while scoring 19 points and Lorenzo Martinez led the team with 31 points, 8 assists and 6 rebounds.
